Welcome to July’s edition of Hertsmere Lottery RoundUp!

#ThankYouDay is on 7th July so let’s take this opportunity to show all staff, volunteers and trustees of our Good Causes that we appreciate all their hard work they do to support our community. THANK YOU! Did you know that last year, 74% of those who took part in a Thank You Day event said they felt a stronger sense of belonging to their local community as a result.

Social Media Giving Day is on Monday 15th this month and you could support Hertsmere Community Lottery and all its Good Causes by helping spread the word on social media!

World Emoji Day is on the 17th of July, so keep an eye out on our socials for a bit of fun on that Wednesday and see if you can guess any right!

Love Parks Week runs from 24th July till 2nd August, so what better excuse to get out into the sunshine by walking in your local park.

You may not need a special day to celebrate the friendships you have in your life but it doesn’t hurt to make a little extra effort on Tuesday 30th July for International Day of Friendship! Our Good Cause Nice 2 Meet Ya is helping adults with autism and learning difficulties develop and maintain friendships and relationships and support them to build meaningful connections. You can support them by purchasing a ticket here.

We had our 50th Anniversary prize draw last month! The winners were Hertsmere Mencap, Zenith Trampoline Club, Comfort Cases UK and DR96. Keep your eyes peeled for another article with more information on them and what the additional funding will support them with!

We have quite a few Birthday Bonus Shout-outs this month, so let’s dive straight in!

Both the Visually Impaired Club & Woodcock Hill Village Green have their 1st birthdays on the 6th of July, followed shortly by Up Community on the 10th who will also be celebrating their 1st birthday.

Borehamwood Youth FC & Potters Bar United FC are also turning 1 on the lottery on the 17th of July.

And last but definitely not least, Cecil’s Horse Sanctuary will be celebrating their 2nd birthday on the lottery on July 21st!

Make sure you show all these amazing Good Causes you support one way or another!

We have had 2 new Good Causes join us since our last round-up, so let’s give Friends of Care Homes and Friends of Newberries School a warm welcome to the lottery family!

July’s Super Draw Prize is a summer BBQ party Ninja bundle, so be sure to have your tickets ready before 8pm on July 27th to be in with a chance of winning!
