It's Our 3rd Birthday!

Happy Birthday to us! We turn three today on 18th December 2024. What a three years we’ve had…and now’s the perfect time to go back over all our successes and see what we’ve achieved this year.

Since 2021 we have sold a whopping 52,443 tickets! With 15,747 of these being sold just this year! This means, in 2023 are Good Cause Revenue total was *drumroll please*…. £7,873.50! Which means to date we have raised £26,221.50 in revenue!

We are so grateful to everyone who has bought a ticket or played the community lottery – without you we wouldn’t be able to do anything!

We were so lucky to have 8 brand new Good Causes Join us this year and we hope that they have enjoyed their first year at the lottery, as we enjoy our third. So a big shout-out to Herts Inclusive Theatre, Borehamwood Royal British Legion, Red Trust Bushey, Shenley Village Cricket Club, South Mimms Village Hall Management Committee, Friends of Newberries Primary School, Friends of Care Homes and Friends of Kenilworth PTA! These Good Causes are just the icing on the cake to our Good Cause family. We are almost at 50 Good Cause signups and we hope that 2025 will bring us more Good Causes to help fundraise with.

We would like to shout-out some of our most subscribed to Good Causes as a thank you for being so active this year. So, thank you Watford Sheltered Workshop, Potters Bar Cycling Club, Friends of St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School, Citizens Advice Hertsmere, Potters Bar Crusaders Sports and Social Club, Hertfordshire Showband and Borehamwood Royal British Legion! For all our Good Causes we hope to see tickets and supporters galore as we keep on growing the HCL.

This year we have tried new things and celebrated with the community. We took part in some extra draws and lotteries, such as the Your School Lottery and extra rize draw from January – March 2024. In the summer we also held the 50th Anniversary Prize Draw here at Hertsmere which saw Hertsmere Mencap, Zenith Trampoline Club, Comfort Cases UK and DR96 become winners!

Just last week we tried something new and linked up with our very own Borehamwood and Elstree  Community Radio to wax lyrical about the community lottery. BECR is a new and growing community-based radio station. They are a non-profit and run by experienced volunteers, who cover local events, news, film and television and local history. We’ve also celebrated one amazing Super Draw after another with bigger and better prizes each month! Speaking of which….
